Hello, Mr. Johnson! First I would like to congratulate you with such a fenomenal blog! This is as you say "pretty, pretty, pretty good"!

And now to the core of the subject. I understand that you have had some troubles with our opening ceremony. Now, I do know that the ceremony ended over a month ago, but I'm afraid I have not found the time for a quicker response.

Well, every host of such a grand event as the Olympic Games has its troubles when it comes to soothing all of the planet's creatures. We have tried to focus on the humans this time, but not all of us are awake at all times of the day (though some are - those peculiar little rascals). So, as you probably see, I have had to make way for a CoP, i.e. Change of Plans, in order for this event to function at an optimal level. Therefore, we arrranged for the ceremony to start at eight o'clock on August 8. Merely as a protest for there not being a chance to start seven o'clock on july 7. But also as a symbol for world peace elns.

But, I have done some research, Mr. Johnson, and found out that your town, Alesund, is in the CET+1-time zone, which means that you had the opportunity to view the opening ceremoy (unless you have some sort of night job) at around noon. Now, I will not question your mathematic abilities, nor the platitudes of your postcard, but I would urge you to think once more the next time you decide to lay such troubles on me.
